Noirmoutier, the diversity of the ocean

Near the campsite, you find the island of Noirmoutier, located at only sixty kilometres from campsite La Guichardière and easily accessible by road. But what is the island of Noirmoutier? The island is a small historical jewel of the Vendée and is part of the heritage of this department. A trip to Noirmoutier is an ocean-minded trip with plenty of things to discover on this beautiful island.

Tasty and natural, the island of Noirmoutier is connected to the mainland by two roads: the bridge and the Gois passage. This mythical passage is unveiled at low tide and allows visitors to access the island by land, but is also a paradise for fishermen on foot. The Island of Noirmoutier is home to an incredible diversity of landscapes: beaches, forests, marshes, dunes and remarkable fauna and flora. The entire island is crossed by 80 km of cycle paths and 64 km of hiking trails, crossing salt marshes and passing through oyster and mussel farms.

Authenticity and diversity will make you experience magical moments with family and friends.
