A family discovery<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Parc de la Bri\u00e8re is the second largest marshland in France, after the Camargue. Located just a few kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean, the park offers 120 km of canals and marvelous flora and fauna. The Bri\u00e8re Regional Nature Park<\/strong> covers the Bri\u00e8re marshes, northwest of the Loire estuary in the Loire-Atlantique region. The Bri\u00e8re is located in the Nantes region<\/a><\/strong> and partly in the Pays de Gu\u00e9rande<\/a><\/strong>Since 2025,UNESCO<\/strong> has recognized the park as a biosphere reserve under the title “Entre Loire et Vilaine, des marais aux mar\u00e9es”. Here you’ll discover all the pretty thatched cottages<\/strong> with their reed roofs, an essential feature of the Bri\u00e9ron landscape. With its 3,000 thatched roofs, the Bri\u00e8re region has the highest density of thatched cottages in France. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can visit the park by boat<\/strong>, accompanied on a guided tour or on your own to row and “lose yourself” in the middle of the canals. Some service providers also offer horse-drawn carriage rides<\/strong> to discover the park at your own pace.
