Océarium du Croisic

A very family-friendly activity, theOcéarium du Croisic is located on the Côte sauvage in Le Croisic (1h from the campsite). Dive into the marine world and experience a unique moment as you discover sharks, multicolored fish and other 4,000 fish and marine animals. Children aged 6-12 have fun becoming “Young Adventurers”.
From the sea to the Aquarium: 2,500 m³ of natural seawater is the total volume of the aquarium facilities. This vital element for all marine organisms is pumped 400 meters from the Océarium site. The 55 seawater aquariums presented to the public (water temperature regulated between 16° and 25° depending on the space) are only the visible part of a complex mechanism. In the basement, you’ll find the filtration room, the lungs of the aquariums. The water is partially renewed, at around 5% per day, and the tanks are sterilized using ultraviolet light.

While you’re at the Océarium, take a stroll along the impressive cliffs of the Côte Sauvage, offering views that invite contemplation. You can venture out on coastal hiking trails to explore this unspoilt region, where nature reigns supreme.
