Keep your teens busy!

It’s not always easy to keep your teens and pre-teens occupied, so here are a few tips to help the whole family have a great vacation. Getting them off their screens for some, keeping them from going round in circles for others…

At the campsite, they’ll find plenty of places to meet new people and have fun: the swimming pool, afternoon tournaments (ping-pong, volleyball, soccer, etc.), juggling and archery workshops to help them discover new horizons, as well as the snack bar and its seasonal entertainment (dance evenings, musical quizzes, concerts, karaoke, etc.). For our youngest guests (up to 12 years old), workshops are organized every morning. Depending on the theme of the week, they can do arts and crafts, bake or cook, have their faces painted, go on a treasure hunt or gallop outside during outdoor games, all under the watchful eyes of our entertainers!

Depending on the age and interests of your children, you can organize :

• Field day: in Pornic, awaken their senses on a 100% nature trail at Pornic Aventure (Tarzan jumps, giant zip lines, snowboards, skimboards, bmx, …).), at Espace Aventures you can ride a water scooter (for 16-year-olds and upwards) from Préfailles, Pointe Saint-Gildas or Pornic, at Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef Racing Kart Jade offers something for everyone in the family, at Frossay (about 20min) Défi Nature you’ll have to solve the riddles to get to the end of the Robinson course. You can also enjoy orienteering courses, laser games and paintball (book in advance for paintball “by night”, guaranteed thrills!). An adventure course will keep the whole family busy (from age 2 upwards), with 6 tree courses and 90 workshops! In Saint-Viaud, TSN44 offers inflatable courses, flyboard, slackline, stand-up paddle… In La Baule, Atlantic Jet Aventure introduces you to flyboarding, jetskiing, towed buoys, buggies… for beginners or rental. In Noirmoutier Océanile (wave pool, slides, torrent, waterfall, tube, raft…), a little further (about 1h30) O’Gliss Park (water park with a “thrills” area of 12 exceptional slides, wild rivers and relaxation areas). Indian Forest (nature-based leisure area: tree climbing, paintball, water jump, fun zone, guaranteed thrills and laughter!)
• Discovery day: take them on a boat tour of the Brière (guided tours or day-long rentals), visit the salt marshes (themed tours for the curious, the gourmet, discover the know-how of the salt workers…). The team at theAquarium du Croisic will take you into the depths of the oceans to discover the fauna and understand why this space is vital and why we need to take good care of it. Le Voyage à Nantes (an artistic tour of the city) lets you discover this beautiful city, full of history and a touch of madness!
• Zoo day : around the campsite, several renowned zoological parks: Legendia Parc (shows set against a backdrop of legends and fairy tales in a 33-hectare park), the Ferme Extraordinaire (sharing and conviviality in the world of extraordinary animals), Planète Sauvage (the car safari area, the underwater gallery where you can admire the dolphins, a walk through Kirikou’s village, the jungle temple where you can discover macaques, Vietnamese pigs, otters… The park offers bivouacs (up to 5 people per tent) and, for children over 7, the chance to care for the animals and discover the profession of animal caretaker. A little further afield you’ll also find Branféré (a superb park where the animals are in semi-liberty thanks to vegetation and water barriers… you can get up close to some and admire the others, the “parcabout” will amuse young and old alike and take you to new heights!), the Boissière du Doré zoo (possibility of sleeping “at giraffe height” (7 people max. per lodge), feeding tour, introduction to ethology, etc.).
