Longe-côte
An original sport: longe-côte, a sport from the north (it was a rowing coach from the north of France who created this activity in 2006, to complement the work of his rowers). For a number of years, the practice was confined to northern France, before gradually spreading to the French coast, taken up by associations and a number of water sports instructors. Combining the benefits of an outing in the open air with resistance training in an aquatic environment (less strain on the joints), this discipline is aimed at everyone and is expanding rapidly.
It consists of walking in the water (at chest height to avoid straining the lumbar vertebrae) with a paddle to keep you stable, gently working all the muscles of the body, breathing and endurance. A very complete sport requiring very little equipment (a wetsuit and a paddle).
