Going to Pornic in summer means going to the market. To go to the market in Pornic, you’ll need to visit Les Halles de Pornic. Les Halles de Pornic is a covered market. Here you’ll find fresh produce, local crafts and regional products. Artisans, producers and shopkeepers await you from Place des Halles to Place du Marchix. The market takes place every weekday morning, Thursday and Sunday.

Pornic also has a number of markets where you can find fresh, local produce. One of these is the Birochère market. It’s located in the Birochère parking lot, rue de la Bernerie. It’s open mornings, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Finally, the Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer market is held in front of the church, in the village of Sainte-Marie. It is also open mornings, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Summer is the great season for night markets. They are very popular with holidaymakers. They’re an opportunity to discover the town and region in a whole new way. At nightfall, take a stroll along Pornic’s old port. In July and August, Pornic opens its night market between 7 and 11 p.m. on Saturdays and Tuesdays. The Tharon-Plage night market is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Thursday and Sunday mornings: Place des Halles, Place Macé, Place du Marchix, and under the 17th-century covered market.
Tuesday and Saturday evenings, 7-11 p.m. (July and August): Old Port

Have some change ready: Not all traders accept credit cards, so it’s a good idea to bring some cash with you.
