Itinerary 1: Pornic fisheries


● Walking time: 3 h

● Distance: 11 km

● Difficulty: easy

● Departure point: Gourmalon garden.

The walk begins at the Gourmalon garden, with views of Pornic castle, the beach and the harbour. Along the way, you'll see beautiful 19th-century villas, quiet little beaches, and the first fisheries above the ocean.

Continue on to Pornic's thalassotherapy centre and its superb architecture.

A little further on from the Joselière beach, you'll come to a bunker, a vestige of the Second World War.

Finally, continue along the coast to the large beach of La Boutinardière, with its cliffs and view of the nearby fisheries.


Route 2: the wild coastline of Pornic and Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer


● Walking time: 1 hour 30 minutes

● Distance: 5 km

● Difficulty: intermediate

● Departure point: village of Sainte-Marie

Start from the market town of Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer, along a landscaped path that runs alongside the coastal villas, with views of the rocks and ocean.

The path gradually leads away from the town, allowing you to admire the pavilions on the Corniche du Porteau and the Sablons beach.

Walk past Le Porteau to enjoy the wild coastline. Then head for the Plage de l'Étang. There is a small stream to cross and if you continue you will arrive at Port aux Goths.
